Sussman Shank LLP is a mid-size law firm with attorneys admitted to practice in Oregon, Washington and California. The firm has a general, civil and trial practice in state and federal courts.
Over the last year Sussman Shank has pursued an ambitious technology strategy for business development and marketing that includes upgrades and additions to many of their software systems.
Saturno worked with Firm Administrator, Steven Seguin, and Technology Administrator, Greg Rotvik, to carefully identify the firm's goals. Several key needs were defined:
- Provide clients with personalized, automated online service
- Make use of content repurposing and automation to increase efficiency
- Easily and cost-effectively manage Web site content
- Launch branded email marketing and newsletter systems
Central to the firm's goals was a need for an extensible content management system. Saturno installed the WebBackTM content management system to manage information for all of the firm's marketing initiatives. Sussman Shank uses WebBack's central data-driven model to:
- Manage all parts of the firm's data-driven Web site
- Serve clients and prospects with personalized Web content based on their preferences
- Provide newsletter and article subscribers with on-demand subscription management via the Web
- Send branded HTML email newsletters and industry articles to multiple subscriber lists
- Automate the creation of practice group brochures and marketing materials in multiple file formats
- Repurpose marketing content across their network for multiple applications
The firm continues to develop their electronic marketing campaigns using WebBack as the foundation and central core. Because WebBack provides a sophisticated relational database Sussman Shank is free to pursue integration with other systems such as intranet and CRM.
